Missionary Training Center Post #1

Momma! I'm in the Missionary Training Center and its a freakin' amazing place. I'm also a District Leader.

We literally are waking up at 6am and from 645am to 930pm we are studying out of the Bible and Book of Mormon with a half hour break for each meal period. 

It is super cool to learn more and more about just religion in general and see of the good everywhere. We are learning so much about the goodness of the gospel and how much the teachings of Jesus Christ can help anyone who may be struggling with any kinda problem. I feel so blessed to be on a mission serving The Lord. 

I have no pictures for this week (sorry) because I forgot to bring my camera to the computer for our preparation day, The food is good and if there are any meals I don't in particularly enjoy, i'll just eat as much as I can of it and then have 2 bananas afterwards. The walking around everywhere is really hard for me in the high altitude but I somehow manage well. our roommates are amazing and my companion is a farm boy workaholic so he is teaching me how to pick up the pace of my slow down and look at life kinda lifestyle while I help him slow down and think a bit more. he's kinda a genius but i don't think he fully realizes it yet. 

One of our teachers's names is Sister Oliphant! from Lord of the Rings, the elephants that charge The White City in the near final battle of Return of the King!!! Lord of the Rings is awesome! but don't worry, I am not only focused on those things,

 The two people we are teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ, (Rachel and Alessandro) are both really interested in the gospel but we have realized we are completely unskilled to teach and must teach with guidance from the Holy Ghost or whatever we say will not connect at all. Its a rough life  It is wonderful to see their progression throughout the week that we have taught both of them, its also humbling to see how bad we actually are at teaching because sometimes we aren't even guided by the holy spirit for the things we teach and once that good feeling leaves it just turns out to be bad juju and nothing seems right. 

I have been so humbled in many things here and am always working on improving myself.  I  hope the family is doing well. see ya next week on prep day! gotta go! (the email hour is up) I love you all so much and keep you in my prayers, say hello to everyone for me!
